The narrator talks about how a girl and a guy needed some time alone, so he sets off to move to Arizona, and promises to send for her when he's ready, but he ended up leaving forever. The song goes on to say that if "there was a Grand Canyon she could fill it up with the lies he's told her."
The music video was directed by Lawrence Carroll and premiered in mid 2000.
